Goto http://easyurpmi.zarb.org and setup your access to the repositories - PHP5 is in the contrib repository. Now go into the software install thingo in the Mandrake Control Centre, type 'php5' and install the packages that you need.

Go back into the software sources manager in the Mandrake Control Centre and delete those entries you just added. Now go back to easyurpmi and get the script again. This time just paste it into a terminal (as root) without altering it in any way.

Now when its gone through that you can go into the Mandrake Control Centre and this time go into the software <i>installation</i> thing. Judging by the php4 install on my box the base packages for php will be 'php5-ini' and 'php5-cli' (no quotes). If you just type 'php5' you should get a listing of all the other php5 packages as well, some of which you might find you need - eg. install php-mysql if you plan on accessing a MySql db from your scripts.

Question

I made what it spoke in the previous menssagem, makes download of the packages without problems and the packages is added in Control Center.

But when I go to try to make the installation and I make a search for php5 I do not get resulted. I made download of php5main. Is this the certain package?

It forgives me to be occupying its time, provalvemente must be a f'cil situation to decide, that I am programmer who likes servers linux, and only have one in house where I want to develop my proper site in php5.

One more time obliged for the aid.

Can you post the contents of your /etc/urpmi/urpmi.cfg file so I can see what sources you have setup?

That looks ok but as I said PHP5 is in contrib. Go back to http://easyurpmi.zarb.org and get access to the contrib repository as well. While you're there you may as well get plf-free and non-free too - they don't have any php stuff in them but there are lots of little goodies in there.
