info on: make install is up to date

Hi,
I'm trying install a program on mandriva 2007;
I've run make command correctly.
When I run make install I receive this:

make install is up to date

Why?

In my old S.O. (Mandriva 2005) make install works fine on this prog.

Any help will be appreciated.

Use:

make -B install
