IBOOK ATI RADEON 7500 Mobility Laptop Xserver not working tried recompiling x server

Hi,

I've tried 2 different kernels (BEN-H kernel) the original MANDRAKE kernel, and I am unable to get the X Server working. Console works.

I've tried using the same configuration that works with yellowdog and the screen just crashes. and nothiong shows
I've tried using XF86config and all i get is a red screen but nothing loads..

I've tried recompiling Xwindows to the new version of 4.3.0 And I still have the same problem.

I was wondering if anyone has had success in installing this on an IBook G3, ATI Radeon 7500 Mobility 900 MHZ

Please help as i've been at this for hours.

Ive had some success, It seems that x windows works but the screen keeps flickering with line scratches...

any help would be appreciated.
