Unhappy I have a very annoing problem...

OK I have solved the language problem mentioned in another thread, but unfortunately the only way to swich between languages now is to change the languge by clicking on a flag on the K taskbar. I want to change the keyboard language by pressing ALT+SHIFT simultaneously but I cannot find a way to do so.

Any suggestions? I really need to be able to swich between languges by using the ALT+Shift key combination, because I am translating Linux Courses in my own language. Please if you can help, post

check in KDE's Kontrol Center (kicker panel->system->configuration->configure your desktop). look in peripherals->keyboard. one of the tabs is a key mapper, if i remember correctly.

No, there is no such thing (I am using Mandrake 9.2, KDE 3.1.3).

There are some options that might be the solution under the "Accesibility" menu but I can't find the option to use keyboard shortcuts to swich between keyboard layouts.

Anything else that might be helpfull?

i've never done this before (no need to) by did you look in Kontrol Center->accessibility->keyboard shortcuts->command shortcuts tab? looks like you can assign a keyboard shortcut for any installed app. just find the app that uses the flag in your taskbar & assign a keyboard shortcut to it there.

looks like it should work.........

Solved. If anyone else has the same problem as I did, make sure you have selected the desired language layouts and then go to the Mandrake Control Center and configure your keyboard.
