I'm mssing /usr/sbin/drakconnect and need to get it back urgently

Sometime today, I started getting that drakconf.real had something on line 630 telling me that /usr/sbin/drakconf wasn't executable, so I went to see if I could change to be, and discovered that it was not there. I'm using Mandrake 10 from the download CDs. If someone could either tell me how to get it back myself or send me a copy or both, it'd be much appriciated, thanks in advance.

KETrel, I am using MDK 10 as well, but can't find any referance to "drakconf". It's not on my installation, nor can I find it in the Install area of Software Management. What does it do & where did you get it?

Ack, I wrote that wrong, I mean it says /usr/sbin/drakconnect isn't excutable on line 630 of /usr/sbin/drakconf.real

But drakconnect isn't even there

Also, in attempt to fix it, I managed to remove Drakconf completely.

Sorry KETrel, I can't see where to re-install it from, I have found the files & folders on my computer, but wonder if copying them to yours will work, given our different hardware configuration. Email me if you want to try, with a list of all the files you need.

Glad to hear you fixed it Trel. This is a very steep learning curve after a dozen+ years of DOS & Windows! LOL! Have fun!
