how well does Mandrake work with Ndiswrapper?

What kind of luck has everybody had installing wireless equipment in Mandrake with Ndiswrapper? I gave up on it, but for all I know, it might work for most other Mandrake users. My impression is that Mandrake and Ndiswrapper don't get along particularly well.

I think ndiswrapper can install fine under Mandrake. There might be an issue with the version of Mandrake or ndiswrapper you are using. Or ndiswrapper may not support your wireless NIC.

I have used both Ndiswrapper, and the native drivers for Centrino (IPW2100) and Netgear WG511 (Prism54). If you have either the 6 CD version from the Mandriva Club or one of the boxed editions, it should come with the drivers.

I have had mixed experience with Ndiswrapper mostly over the difficulty of finding and configuring the proper driver for the hardware.

Have you considered submitting your driver issue ias a follow-up to a similar issue or as a new issue in LQ?
