How to open up floppy?
 
I inserted a floppy into my drive, but there's no icon show up in desktop unlike the CDRoms

BTW How can I open music CDs when I try to open them I get

In most case you will need to mount the floppy disk to be able to access it. Aussuming that you have a reference to the floppy in your '/etc/fstab' file, you can mount it with a line like...

mount /dev/fd0

Once this is done you will likely have a icon pop up on your desktop for the floppy, or you can access it from the command line at something similar to

/mnt/floppy

I do not play much with audio CD's so I will have to defer to the input of others on this matter.

You can't mount audio cds. Only data cds.
