By default Mandrake uses supermount so you do not need to explicitly use the mount command. Just open up a file browser like Konqueror and browse to the /mnt/cdrom directory. Konqueror is similar to window explorer so therefore you can drag and drop to another directory.

You have to mount the CD. In a command line type

mkdir /mnt/cdrom
mount -t iso9660 /dev/hdc /mnt/cdrom

( hdc might be hdb or hdd depending on where the drive is attached ).

Although you can only do this is as root. You can add a line to fstab, something like

/dev/hdc /mnt/cdrom iso9660 ro,users,noauto 0 0

Which makes it easier to mount, as all users.

If you're using KDE you can do this:
1) Click on the Home icon -OR- open Konqueror from the menu {internet/wb browsers/Konqueror}, then click on the HOME icon.
2) In the Konqueror browser click on the UP arrow (in the upper left corner) twice to get to the root menu.
3) Click on the mnt folder.
4) click on the cdrom folder.
5) You should now see the contents of your CD. Now you can drag-n-drop the contents into the folder you desire. IF you don't see anything in your cdrom folder, you will need to use the instructions that were previously posted.
