how to connect to a domain using mandrake10.1
 
Actually my internet connection is through my domaine , in windows i just need to login using the login account provided by my domain then i'm immediately connect to internet if i login in windows.
so i would like to do the same thing in mandrake 10.1
so that i can use internet

Could you explain better what do you mean?
Do you dial up your ISP with 56kbps or usb dsl connection??:confused:

no actually it's the university domain , so in windows they provide me with an account . i just use that account at the login screen in windows so when i login i'm already connected to internet through the domain.

I assume that means the network your hooked to has internet access through a router or T1 of some kind.

You will have to find out how IP addresses are assigned to machines on the network. If by DHCP then config your Linux box to receive IP addresses from the DHCP server. If they use a fixed IP network then you will have to see the admin to give you a IP address, gateway, mask etc.

When you have that resolved just log onto the network as usual and you will have internet access.

You will probably need to talk to the network admin to see how he is managing the network.
