Hi!

I'm new at Linux and I'm finding it quite difficult to install programs. At least it's very different from installing programs in Windows and it confuses me. But I want to know how to do it.

I have an example of what I'm trying to install (and I fail):
==> w w w.geocities.com/kman_can <== (imp3sh (MP3-player))
(I may not post URL-s yet, so please remove the spaces in "w w w")

Can someone, please, tell me exactly (step-by-step) how to make the program above work!
I'm also wondering if the principle of installing ("installing") the program above can be applied to all (or most of) other installations?

I honestly don't know what other word to use instead of "installation". So, excuse me

(I'm using KDE 3.2 on Mandrake 10 and, yes, I'm a complete )
