I use Nero Express burning software. Do you know how you start installing Linux? from those 3 cd? By the way do I have to burn 3 cd ? or just One? Help!! Thx all of you.
Nero software will deploy automatically the contents of the ISO files when you 'burn' them to a cd.
Then, to start installation of mandrake, you ought to boot you pc with the first cd, making sure your bios is configured to boot from cd rom drive.
You can install Mdk with just the first cd, but it would be a minimalist installation, so if you want to have 'everything' installed you must have the complete set of 3 cds
Cheers! and good luck with your new linux system =)
You could get the system installed with only the first cd but the other 2 cd's contain a lot of seperate sw that you might want to use. (Games, Office, Networking and such) Once youve burned the iso images to cd you should be able to boot off the first CD.
Techincally you don't have to have the 2nd and 3rd CDs, but it will be difficult to get what you want without them. That said, here's the rest.
Chances are, if Nero is setup properly, all you have to do is double click on the ISOs. If that doesn't work, open Nero and their should be an option to burn diak image. I haven't used Nero in a while so I don't remember exactly.
