how to auto run app on startup?

on 2007.1 for this. i want to have kaffeine player start
playing a certain file when the computer boots. how do i
do that?

this is for an art installation. it will be a simple,
probably pentium 3 box that just plays a small video file
all day. i want to make it as easy on the gallery space
as possible by not making the gallery people have to
navigate the desktop and find the file and start the
player, etc. i figure there must be a, hopefully easy,
way to have the file come up automatically playing when
the system boots and gets into kde.

any tips appreciated,
BabaG

Create a .desktop file and stick it in ~/.kde/Autostart/

If you don't know what a .desktop file should look like simply find one on your system and look at its contents.
