How do I update to KDE 3.5 in Mandriva 2006

I've been trying to find an obvious answer to this, but I can't. I'm still really new to Linux, so everything confuses me at the moment

I have Mandriva 2006 Powerpack installed with KDE 3.4. Is there an easy way to update to 3.5?

You could use Thac's package or you could try THIS. Please read the whole thread before you start.

I have not tried this, so don't know if it's hasselfree.

I tried the SOS method. Please backup your critical files before trying it though! I had so many problems with it, I ended up un-installing it and going back to 3.4. And yes, I followed the directions exactly...

i did the SOS method and it worked like a charm. no problems at all. just logout of kde, load ice or gnome and do it that way. or you could switch to run level 3. either way write down the instructions before you begin.
