I tried the SOS method. Please backup your critical files before trying it though! I had so many problems with it, I ended up un-installing it and going back to 3.4. And yes, I followed the directions exactly...
i did the SOS method and it worked like a charm. no problems at all. just logout of kde, load ice or gnome and do it that way. or you could switch to run level 3. either way write down the instructions before you begin.
