How do I remove a specific source from urpmi?

Hello

I did an urpmi --auto-select and told it yes to everything. It made it about half way through and quit. Now it wont boot, I would like to remove the source that seemed to be causing a problem.

How do I view the sources urpmi is using so that I can select the ones I don't want?

And how do I remove them?

I am hoping that after removing the problem that I can do Urpmi --auto-select and let it try again. Hopefully finishing and allow me to use it an a non failsafe enviroment.

Thanks
Kezz

have you gone into rpmdrake and had a look at your media manager?
for a GUI way go to control centre and click on software media manager,
you'll be able to remove any sources from there.

Just so all your bases are covered, if you cannot get to a gui, you can do this at the command line:

Q: How do I list my configured media sources?
A: urpmq --list-media

Q: How do I remove a source?
A: urpmi.removemedia <name>. The name can be a substring to match multiple
source names, like 'urpmi.removemedia cdrom' will remove all CD sources.
urpmi.removemedia -a will remove all sources

Above Q&A's extracted from this Urpmi FAQ:
