How do I network Mandriva with KDE 3.5 with Macintosh?

I have Mandriva 2009 on my Netbook now and am using KDE 3.5. I also have a MacBook Pro notebook and a Mac Pro. I share a directory on the MBP with the network and there is a 'server' drive I have on the Mac Pro I share and of course I can share them between the Mac's.
My question: Would I be able to access either of these computers from the netbook running Mandriva? Would I also be able to access the Linux netbook from either Mac? Thanks!

If its samba (smb) shares, open konqueror, and in the address bar type

smb://IP/
where the IP is the address of the machine having shared files.

To access the Linux machine from any client (smb/cifs) you need to install and the samba-server package and set up your shares.

I'd install webmin with it and use that to configure samba.
You also (always) have to set the firewall to accept the incoming connections. I always turn it off entirely until everything is working, then turn it back on with samba (and anything else you need) enabled.

True, same with smb:// But in both cases the server has to be installed and configured. proftp installs and sets up easily.
