I am a newbie to mandrake, can anyone help...ive installed a windows program using the live "Knoppix" cd using "wine".
can i do the same using mandrake, if so how would i execute the prog after as i cant find the installed directory with knoppix? Im a newbie but Mandrake (& all other linux ive tried so far) is so cool i cant give up on it now, even my xbox has gentoox installed...;-) |
yes you can do the same with mandrake, and it depends where you make your fake
C drive, as to how your going to execute programs ... typically it is in your home folder under the .wine directory ... so /home/user/.wine/c ... so it just depends on where you put it, and even sometimes there is a symlink in the home folder that is setup to the hidden folder .wine/c .... so its hard to tell .. cause like i said, it just depends ... |
Cool, its only a matter of patience & read ups then...;-)
i didnt quite undrstand but no doubt itll filter through as i see more of the same command lines, thanx |
