how do i do a diagnostic?


hi dose anybudy know how i can do a diagnostic on my hard ware spec's to see what they are, so i know how to tell how to correct this problem with the software of mandriva?

Hmmm, cat /proc/cpuinfo and cat /proc/meminfo will give you cpu and mem info, but as far as peripherals go, I don't know any way to do that from the command line. I'd imagine Mandriva's Control Center or KDE's Control Center would also tell you lots of good info.

OK these are the two things i need to know for a diagnostic;

i need know if my sound card working correctly on mandriva, capture card = TV card
