hi, i cant do this in my mandrake 9.1:

./configure
make
make install

i enter as root, but nothing, cant do it, which packages do i need to install to be able to do these commands?Thx

You need to have gcc libraries installed. Use your Software manager and install the gcc packages.

you have to install development package set (gcc make automake autoconf... so on)

Oh, ok. I installed gcc compiler, but didnt know i had to install libraries and so on, thx

I installed all the packages, but it says that cant find source in kernel to do it...what can i do?:scratch:

what do you try to install?who knows,maybe you don't have to compile yourself!try to search the package as RPM www.rpmfind.net or www.google.com/linux
