Angry Hotwayd not working...

Hi

I spent so much time with hotwayd, I'm about to give up...
I've downloaded hotwayd on sourceforge.net, installed it, and configured it without any problems. But after all this, I still get a message when I want to get messages from my email client (Thunderbird). I have checked every settings, many times to be sure, restarted xinetd, but nothing changed.

The message is :
"Sending of username did not succeed. Mail server 127.0.0.1 responded: Invalid user"

My hosts.allow is fine, xinetd.d contains hotwayd, with the service configuration.
Username is user@hotmail.com.

Every forums I visited speak about the installation, and eveything seems to work each time, but nobody talk about my error...

Anyone could help me ?
Or may be an alternative to hotwayd (even if I want to know what is wrong with hotwayd)

Thanks for your help
