High CPU usuage when downloading files

Just noticed this, I`m using Madriva LE 2005, when downloading a file from a webpage or transfering files via samba a task called `kicker [kdeinit] and X use around 50 percent cpu each giving me 99 percent cpu usage. As soon as the download completes, cpu drops to normal idle.

Anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks

Solved this problem:-

I noticed that if I killed task `kicker` cpu usuge returned to normal, but I lost taskbar (and kasbar).

So after systematically removing taskbar applets and panels I noticed the problem was linked to kasbar (removing kasbar fixed problem).

I`ve grown to love kasbar, so loaded it back up, and looked at the settings, narrowed it down to working ok with `enable progress indicator` disabled.

I can live with that
