Hi-newbie install Mendrake problem.
Hi, linux geeks. I get bored with windows and want to try something else.
People say mendrake is the best for newbies.
I downloaded Mendrake 10 and run the setup. After loading for awhile, the computer hang in there. I press Alt + F4, then I see the last line is
"usb 2-1 : control timeout on ep0out"
what is this? what is happening? why did the installation stops?

Disable usb and PNP in your bios and try to use a ps/2 keyboard/mouse on install. That's the surefire bet, or you can tinker with it to taste. Some usb bios calls are retarded, and they try to make the OS think it's a bootable device aka hard drive. Give that a shot, rinse, repeat.
