Help with Update ?
After resolving my urpmi problem I ran a urpmi --auto-select last night it took forever and this morning it finished and I noticed on some of the packages it said it could
not install some of the packages, so I exited. I rebooted and could see that my Mandrake 10.1 Official had now been converted to Manriva LE 2005. The problem is I cannot boot into my desktop now, It just hangs. I tried going to failsafe mode to boot, but I forget what I have to enter into the INIT single user mode, you know that one that says "sh-3.00#" Any tips? d-1 |
a mixture of rpms
I could be wrong but I don't think you can upgrade to LE from 10.1 using urpmi. I think you have added LE rpm sources to your 10.1 urpmi config and now have a mixture of rpms installed. If thats true I would recommend downloading the LE CDs or DVD and performing a proper LE install (not upgrade) to make sure all the correct packages are installed. If you donĀ“t have a working internet connection, then you may need to reinstall 10.1 again using the disk.

You can upgrade from 10.1 to LE. I think the problem here could be as a result f the packages that were not installe properly. Try doing,
Code:
#urpmi.update -a && urpmi --auto-select |
