help! mandriva 2006 and javascript 1.5

I'm a newbie and I finished installing mandriva 2006. I'm trying to access my online classroom webpage using firefox 1.0.6 and I can't access it because it says I need javascript 1.5. When I click on the "check browser" button they have on the web page it says that I'm using javascript 1.4. I've searched google and my urpmi sources for it with no answer. How do I update this to 1.5????

and yes javascript, not java
