the files I am looking for. for myth tv

Are you going through all the steps? have you chosen a mirror from the drop down boxes that is close to you?

easyurpmi is not just for mythTV, it's for all of mandriva packages
once you have that set up, you won't need to put your cd's in to install new programs, you just type in the program you want and urpmi will automatically download and install it.

It sounds like to me that you haven't actually gone through and chosen all the mirrors correctly....

What is the error you get when trying to update the repositories?
The media should be cleaned up once in a while. As 'root', enter this command:
urpmi.removemedia -a

I am using Mandriva 2006 Official, and used the Software Management tool in the Control Center. I installed everything that had 'myth' in the name.
I have mythtv up and running now, but there are a few things I still have to do to complate the setup.

Hope this helps.

And don't forget to go back to easyurpmi and get all mirrors again if you do this

Also try
Code:
urpmi.removemedia -c
to clean out the cached headers. Its a little less drastic than removing all the repos and it might fix problems you're having.
