Hard drive partitioning problem
I have two 30 gig IBM Deskstar drives on my computer - hde and hdg. On hde I have the following partitions : / , boot, var, user, and swap. Home takes up the entire hdg drive. The problem is that there is a lot space wasted on the hde drive in the var and user partitions. I have tried before to shrink those partitions and place the beginning of home on that drive also but the partitioning program will not permit it. It will only accept a partition at the beginning of hdg.
The question is does anyone know if this ( start a home partition on hde and continue it on all of hdg) can be done and how ?
The OS is Mandrake 10.0 official.
