Grub in Mandrake doesn't give Red Hat boot option
I just installed Mandrake 9.2 again. I have it on hda and Red Hat on hdb. Grub doesn't not give me the option of booting Red Hat when the computer starts. How can I fix this?

You'll need to edit your /boot/grub/menu.lst (?) file.
just append the section from the hdb menu to the hda menu. look at the grub help, it's quite simple. billy |
went to /boot/grub/ but there was no menu.lst in there would it be under another name?

I found out why I couldn't find it..... I am using lilo. I thought I was using grub bu...... t:( So how do I change that one?

dunno, new to grub myself.
read the grub help, info grub man grub it's a good idea to get to know your boot manager! regards, billy |
Lilo's configuration file is at /etc/lilo.conf
You can open the mandrake Control Center, now called Configure your Computer, open the boot icon, then open the boot loader option. Click configure [in MDK 10 it is a 'next' button], this should let you add your RedHat insstalation using the Add button |
