Hi,

I managed to get my graphics working at last, all along it had something to do with me choosing the wrong Refresh rates for my monitor

Anyway, I now have a bigger problem. For the most part my Mandrakes working fine, all of it. However, when trying to run some apps, for example the Menu builder, Evolution, Bittorrent GUI, GAIM or now even the graphical RPm installer using my login, its seems distorted, or corrupt. As in I get the basic box appear, but all text is mising, and the boxes sometimes seem out of shape, or too large.

If i log in as root these all appear fine. Whats more, if I try to log in to Gnome instead of KDE, it has the same effect. The basic GUI loads fine, but when I right click, or I click on the menus, all text is missing and the boxes are distorted/corrupt.

I thought it maybe something to do with my desktop config, but I defaulted everything again and still the same effect.

I could always create a new user and delete this one, since it works logging in as root I'm assuming this would work too, but is there any other options first?
