Graphical login won't display after boot.
 

I've tried installing Mandrake 10.1 several times on this computer and the graphical login never displays. It loads up and then just displays the background and the mouse. I can move the mouse, and i can switch to the other virtual terminals and login there. I've been able to install it on another older computer I have and never had any troubles, I also tried getting a new copy of the disks, but that didn't work either. Other distros of linux have worked on this computer (SUSE, Redhat, and Ubuntu) and i'm even posting this using Knoppix, so I'd guess it's a Mandrake specific problem I'm having.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Reconfiguring X with XFdrake didn't help.

Any other ideas?
