Since you're running Mandrake, may I suggest that you check the
Mandrake forum. Everything I install in Slackware is from source,
but you need to use those Mandrake tools iirc. There is one guy
who posts in Mandrake whose nick is opjose. In his sig, or in a
post, you'll find a mention or URMPI and I think that is the way
to install stuff in Mandrake. You'll need to find repositories or
whatever, also, but that's all been talked about many times
in that forum.

You might also want to check this N|Vu install tutorial
which has some Mandrake information.

You can find it here: http://www.nvu.com/

This is the file to download nvu-0.90-1mcnl.i586.rpm

To install it open a konsole-->type su, then press enter-->input root password, then press enter, now type: rpm -ivh nvu-0.90-1mcnl.i586.rpm then press enter. The package will now install, when this process is done type: exit to return to normal user mode.

To setup your sources just use the link in my sig.
