Hi guys - I dont want to dilute the thread but it started out saying that the Linux laptop and Linux desktop can't see each other. I have a similar situation here and have resorted to Samba to make it work. However, surely for pure Linux we can use NFS? What I cant get my head around is - how do you use NFS and how to you browse from one machine to another? I can see no GUI tools for doing this and I'm not too well versed in CLI to be able toget anything useful from the command line.
Anybody out there got a pure NFS LAN with "windows explorer -like" browsing?
