gDeslets: The display file contains invalid data and could not be loaded.

Answer more than a question... If you are using Mandrake gDesklets 0.30 RPMs and you get this error message box:

Invalid display file '/usr/share/gdesklets/Displays/psi/clock.display'
The display file contains invalid data and could not be loaded.

when loading any display, then check that the directory ~/.gdesklets/Sensors exists. The RPMs do not make it and it will contain nothing (sensors get put in /usr/share/gdesklets I think) but without it I get this message.

After one mkdir and 6 hours wasted trying diferent versions of everything all my displays now work!

Ben.

Same problem here.
I've d/l almost every package i found in gdesklets.gnomedesktop.org, each time it says
the installation was ok and nothing works...
One of the worst installations i've ever seen (and from what i read, the same stands for many
more people... )
