Games and XGL in Mandriva 2007

Hi,

I just installed Mandriva 2007 with XGL 3ddesktop. So far everything works fine. The problems start when I try to play games, no matter if started via cedega or even native like UT2004. While UT2004 at least starts (though not playable: colors are not being displayed correctly and framerate about 60 or 70 fps), cedega doesnīt even do that. When I switch back to normal 2ddesktop, problems disappear and everything runs normal, so the problem is definitly around XGL.

Anybody experiencing the same problems? Any help would be very appreciated!

Hardware: Athlon XP 3100, 1GB RAM, GeForce 6800 with the original nvidia driver that came with Mandriva 2007,

OpenGL / DRI does not work in XGL.

Thanks for the quick reply.

So, if that doesnīt work I think the least Mandriva could have done is telling their customers. I mean, they give you XGL AND cedega, but nobody tells you you canīt use it both at the same time

What about AIGLX, same problem there?

I don't know about AIGLX. You can't blame Mandriva though, they merely just package XGL and AIGLX. If you read up on XGL you would've known.

Well, I just thought XGL uses OpenGL anyway, so other OpenGL applications should work, too.

Thanks for your help!
