Galeon 1.3.3 completely hosed on Mdk 9.1

Hello, all. I had to Xkill Galeon a few days ago, and haven't been able to run it since. It starts up with the familiar "Galeon Crash Recovery" window, but no matter which option I choose (restore previous session; create bookmarks from the previous session; discard previous session), all I get is the hard drive muttering for itself for a _long_ time. Eventually, my display either freezes up (to the extent that not even Ctrl-Alt-Backspace will kill it) or devolves into a mostly black screen with a few odd graphics here and there; either way, I'm forced to just turn the computer off, which I absolutely hate to do.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Galeon (via rpmDrake), but I still get the same thing. It's the same under KDE, GNOME, Enlightenment, IceWM, and fluxbox (not that a different environment would necessarily make a difference, but it was worth a shot...). I'm still quite the newbie, so is there anything anyone can suggest, besides resorting to a different browser? Is there a file I can delete or edit to fool Galeon into forgetting that it was ever killed in the first place? Or am I just stuck until I get Mandrake 9.2?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

have a look at your home dorectory
but make sure the "show hidden files" option is checked
look for a folder called .galeon (notice the dot)
copy this to a back up location
then delete the copy in your home dir
then
try and restart galeon
