FYI - iptables bug (?) in Mandrake 10.2
Just installed Mandrake-driva-whatever 10.2 on my office box this past weekend. It acts as a gateway for two machines behind it. After setting everything up, I found that I couldn't get out onto the 'net from the internal machines.
The line in the firewall which usually allows masquerading:
/sbin/iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -s 192.168.56.0/24 -o eth0 -j SNAT --to-source xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
was giving me an "invalid argument" error.
Downgrading from iptables-1.2.9-8mdk to iptables-1.2.9-7mdk, which came with 10.1, fixed the problem. FYI.
