front-end package manager


Hi... i am new to the mandrake... (i was using suse all this time).. I want to know if i can add/remove packages using a graphical tool like suse's yast.... Do u have any good link?
the rpm is still the basic packet manager... isn;t it?

You're looking for Mandrake Control Center. From the K menu go System ->Configuration ->Configure Your Computer. Go to "Software Management" and you can add or remove sources, install and remove programs. There should be a shortcut to Mandrake Control Center in your task bar by default, the icon is a computer monitor with a red wrench inside a white circle.
