Flash,Quick time
Hi opjose
Have not found the required Flash or Quicktime on DVD Mandrake or the four Cds Next will search www.RPM Find net. to download the files Maurice |
They are there.
Do this, make sure your urpmi sources are set to the "official" release CD's or DVD's (these files are NOT on the repositories, they are in the applications folder of CD 4 or 5 don't remember which...) The download versions do not have them... then urpmi quicktime flash real plugins |

Qicktime
Hi Opjose ,Sharkee
Have installed Quicktime in XP and Chinese music site is on screen but audio not very good Linux Opera without Quicktime installed no music box player appears on screen. Not clear as to how to make use of your root@zd 7000 commands for libquicktime Had a look at Linuxloader search for Linux Quicktime nothing shows up. So untill Linux has Quicktime version I have to use XP Appreciate your help Maurice |
Apple makes no Quicktime for Linux. This will probably not change.
Open quicktime will play back most, but not all Internet Quicktime streams w/o problems and works within the browsers. "Quicktime currently available 6.5.2 not listed for linux" No, nor will it be, rather you have to install the quicktime RPM's I listed out with the rpm -qa commands. That is install these files yourself via using urpmi. E.G. urpmi openquicktime-1.0-6plf libquicktime-0.9.3-1mdk libquicktime0-0.9.3-1mdk urpm libquicktime-progs-0.9.3-1mdk libquicktime-dv-0.9.3-1mdk You CAN run the Apple Windows version of Quicktime under Linux using a commercial program called Crossover. |
