firefox fonts

I installed latest 1.0.7 firefox from tar archive downloaded from mozilla because I didn't like the 1.0.2 version that the mandriva's one showed (althought they told me it's a different numbering but the same version)

The installation went good with a simple ./install_firefox but fonts look bad, I tried changing under settings but nethertheless they didn't look good....
What can I do????

Go into Options and then General then click on Fonts and Colors...change your Display Resolution. This helped me when I was having problems with the fonts...I changed mine to 96dpi...

no it is isn't a problem with the dpi.. it's the font itself which is not ok... but I can't find which fonts I should install to visualize correctly webpages.. does it depend on system fonts??

help please.........
