Firefox 1.5.0.4 rpm crashes when I try to open "download" in tools. Also when I try to open "download" in preferences. I googled this and found that this is a bug but none of the fixes worked. I also discovered that Thunderbird crashes if I try and "attach" something to outgoing mail.
I downloaded the tar version of FF and it worked better but when setting it up in prefs as to where to send downloads it crashed when I accessed "browse" to change it from desktop to downloads.
I deleted everything "mozilla" except T'bird re-installed with no change. I upgraded some stuff through MCC and I'm going back there to see if something I upgraded caused this.
Out of desperation I installed mozilla suite 1.7.12 and worked with no problem. What the heck happened to FF and T'Bird? It was working Great and then it just took a s...t.

I think, because of the number of responces you've had, that this is some thing to do with your setup.

I would.

Then try to install it over again and follow the defaults. Uninstall it first.

It works for most systems, why not yours?

Try and try again, you'll get it in the end.

Thanks for the reply. It even got stranger. Thunderbird quit launching. At that point I gave up and re-installed Mandriva and everything is working now. I believe it had something to do with an upgrade that took something out that I didn't notice.
I never go to "mozillazine". If it wasn't for things like this it wouldn't be any fun.
I just wish I could've found out exactly what caused it.
