Export filesystem on Mandrake 9.1

I need to share the /backup directory as an nfs on Mandrake 9.1 with another linux machine. I've read where after editing the /etc/exports file that I need to run the exportfs -a command but I can't find any such command on my system. Is there anything else other than editing the export file that needs to be done to export this directory ? Thanks.
