I'm having problems typing messages in the Evolution 1.4.4 mail client, which came with Mandrake 9.2. Every now and then the characters I'm typing stop appearing, then they all appear a few seconds later. This happens several times when editing a typical message.
I don't have problems in other apps like OpenOffice or Quanta Plus or Mozilla.
I've disabled spell check and disabled checking for new messages to eliminate those as the problems, and it still occurs.

Is anyone else having this problem?
Any suggestions on where to look, what to rebuild, etc.?

Someone more knowledgable than me suggested I ask this in a Mandrake forum. Is there an Evolution forum somewhere?

from what i heard you're not the only one with this problem.
v 1.4.5 is available on ximian site (it's the one im using on mdk 9.1).
anyway, there's a mailing list : http://lists.ximian.com/archives/public/evolution/
