ethernet interface can't be brought up in Mandrake 10 ??

I have a thinkpad r40 with Intel Pro/100 VE Network Card that worked fine (automatically detected and brought up) with various Linux distro includes Mandrake 9.2, but I just installed Mandrake 10 and when booting it said that can't bringup etho0 interface,
anyone who have the same configuration and the same problems ?

try hitting escape in the lilo menu and enter "linux noapic" - did the trick for me.

If that works, edit your lilo.conf and add "noapic" to the append="" string to save you the typing every time you start your computer.
