Errors Trying To Compile Source of XMMS...:(


I get this error message when I do ./configure...

This is going to sound Dumb, but do you havethe proper version of GLIB installed?

To resolve this I didn't actually get glib working...I just used some rpm's..

Yeah why bother compiling and break those nice urpmi dependancies which will get you a slew of plugins, enhancements, filters, skins, etc. that you will not otherwise have?

See: http://www.zebulon.org.uk

and follow the directions to set up URPMI sources.

Then as root from a console

urpmi xmms

and you'll get a ton of things you would not ordinarily have available via compilation.
