enable application windows in taskbar

Sorry guys simple question, tried searching but couldn find.

I have had to add the windows list applet to view running programs in the taskbar. Is there an option to enable the normal windows view of running apps in the taskbar. It didn´t start by default.

Is this an MS Windows question? If so, you will get better help in a windows forum. If not, which desktop environment are you asking about? There are many, and the answer may be desktop specific. Better information will help you get better answers.

Sorry, no it was badly titled I only realised that later. Mandriva 2007, is the OS. I am forced to us the window list button, instead of having the normal application windows displaying in the taksbar. Oh and its KDE.
