Downloading the correct version for install?
I have tried everything I can think of...and still not working. Even trying the suggestions, so will start at square one.
I am downloading from the following site. http://www.mandriva.com/en/download/mandrivaone Selecting the 'mandriva-one-2007-free-gnome.iso' link. Once done I burn it to a cd using Nero as a boot cd. However I keep getting the german or dutch version of language. What I want to do is install as if no OS is present at all. Need to completely wipe the current XP the person has, and install something that virus proof for a typical 16 yr old kid. Can I do this with this version? In english as a boot able CD? Oh...and one more thing. Do I need a floppy drive as well? The computer has no 3.5 diskette. Sutur |
There should be an option up under start project title burn Cd image. Try using that option and post your results back here please. In the feature please google on your subject before postin in the linux questions forums.

Where linux users come for help This is the second time I remind you "flanksteak" of what this site is about. Why do you tell people in need to look elsewhere before coming here? Is this your personal site, do you make the rules around here?. Are you in charge?. |
Junior Hacker I was only making a suggestion because before I found linux questions I googled on every question I had and actually learned quite a lot. Ido not like being told off.
I am glad I could help you Sutor |
