downloaded/burned 10.1 - wont boot

so that's it. i spent the last 11 hours downloading Mandrake 10.1 Official DVD from 2go and some dust. so i opened the file with winrar, extracted the whole thing in a folder then burned all these files on a dvd. then i open and close the dvd, a mandrake window appears with languages and installation choices and stuff. so i thought it would obviously boot from the cd when restarting because, you see, i want to install it. been running windows for the last 3 days and i cant stand it anymore.
so i reboot, but nah, doesnt boot from the cd. windows starts.

why? obviously, there is something i didnt do right, but what?

oh and yes, my boot priority in bios is setted on my dvdrom drive.

so long, and thanks for all the fish

when you download the .iso file are not supposed to use winrar to extract it's contents, you need to burn the file as a Image file.

Go to whichever burning software you use and find burn and image, select the .iso file whole and burn it onto a CD. Then place that CD in the drive when you restart and it should work fine.

Hope this helps,
