I downloaded the boot.iso from a mirror moments ago and launched into an FTP install from a boot cd I made just now....
But the installer splash screen comes up with Mandrake 10.0 Community when I was expecting to see "Official" or something??
So I hopped back out so as to not waste the mirrors bandwidth to pose this question... Knowing that my mirror path is correctly pointing to official, What confirmation should I expect to see to know that 10.0 "official" is being pulled to my system?
mkcd --discsize 716800000 -t ./5CD-Version -a -s ./hdinstall
I'm using the "mkcd" that was installed with mandrake 9.2 not the one that is in the "misc" folder of the downloaded mdk10. Also I am working from the official download not the community.
"hdinstall" is the folder where I downloaded the full tree and Im callig the above command from the folder that contains hdinstall. the structure of the folder where I execute the above command is:
i get this when i try the MakeCD command any suggestions??
Code:
home/warly/files/cvs/mdk/soft/mkcd/pm/) at /home/larry/Mandrake//misc/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.3/Mkcd/Tools.pm line 10.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /home/larry/Mandrake//misc/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.3/Mkcd/Tools.pm line 10.
Compilation failed in require at /home/larry/Mandrake//misc/mkcd line 29.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /home/larry/Mandrake//misc/mkcd line 29.
been trying for quite a while now with no luck.\
it runs for a few seconds then spits out the above info
mkcd --discsize 4416800000 -t /mnt/hd/temp -a -s /mnt/hd/i586
to make a dvd ISO but I had this error message:
Can't locate File/NCopy.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /home/warly/files/cvs/mdk/soft/mkcd/pm/ /etc/perl /usr/local/lib/perl/5.8.0 /usr/local/share/perl/5.8.0 /usr/lib/perl5 /usr/share/perl5 /usr/lib/perl/5.8.0 /usr/share/perl/5.8.0 /usr/local/lib/site_perl . /home/warly/files/cvs/mdk/soft/mkcd/pm/) at ./mkcd line 27.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at ./mkcd line 27.
I had the same problem at first. Don't use the mkcd from the installation medium. install the rpm and use that instead. Even now, if i use the one on the "misc" folder, I get that message that you are getting. Search for the rpm in the Mandrake/RPMS folder. It's called : mkcd-3.8.7-1mdk.noarch.rpm.
I tried to install the mkcd-3.8.7-1mdk.noarch.rpm on my old mandrake 9.1 but it gives errors of version conflict. So the only way is to install mdk 10 directly from the dir i586 that is on my HD (or upgrade the mdk 9.1 with it).
I need your help: I tried to start the installation from windows with the autorun.exe in dosutils but the option "install mandrakelinux" doesn't work...
WELL, something that i so not usderstand is why the public iso files are not out yet, didnt they say that they would be released in early may?, it is middle may now and they're still not out, what is the deal with that? >:-0
