Don't know how to set up WG111 usb wireless on mandriva 2006

I have just installed Manddriva 2006, everything seemed to recognize fine but for some reason I can't get my netgear wg111 wireless usb adapter to work correctly. If I go into the computer setup, and look at my hardware, I see the adapter under other devices, but it won't list it in the network devices. I tried to install the driver by using the network setup and then I told it to install a windows driver using ndiswrapper, but it didn't seem to work correctly. I just don't know what to do or how to go about trouble shooting this. I am very much a newbie, Thanks for your help.

Did you figure out how to get it working?

I'm having trouble installing it myself. My setup is as follows:

HP pavilion ze4300 laptop
Mandiva 2006
Netgear WG111T Wireless USB Adator

I tried installing the drivers using ndiswrapper via the control center, but it kept on saying there's no device available.

So, I opened up my root terminal window, and started doing it from there.
Below is what I got sofar:

[root@Legolas ~]# ndiswrapper -l

I just don't know what to do or how to go about trouble shooting this
strictly do
- delete /etc/ndiswrapper files and directory
- Take exactly the same driver as listed per wiki of ndiswrapper
(or else try with inf file supplied by manufacturer)
- Install from source and compile the latest version of ndiswrapper
(read the readme about removing any previous version)
if this does not work downgrade to known working version
- proceed with
[root@Legolas WG111T_GR V1.2]# ndiswrapper -i athfmwdl.inf
[root@Legolas WG111T_GR V1.2]# ndiswrapper -i netwg11t.inf
you should need only 1 of these
# ndiswrapper -l
ndiswrapper -m
[root@Legolas WG111T_GR V1.2]# modprobe ndiswrapper
then test network, configure interface, WEP, route etc

A piece of advice, run in a separate terminal
tail -f /var/log/syslog

That should get you going
