Hi, im a totally linux newbie and i would like to install it on my little server that is currently running windows ME (holy sh**).
The only problem is that im not sure it is enought good to support it...
Here is the spec of that server:

Will I be able to install it and run it without bugs?

Ah and another question!

With mandrake will i be able to manage my 2 harddrives or is it impossible? (sry for my noob and my english) Im now with Win Xp and im boored of this bullshit full of bugs !

My compu:

The only limitation you will have with many distributions is the amount of physical ram your system has. If you check with each distribution spec for minimum computer requirements that will get you closer to answering your question. Try http://www.linux.org - Distributions. There are many good sections at that site. Good luck and welcome to the Open Source community!

For more information about the HOWTO's in Linux, you can also check out The Linux Documentation Project and even download that site to disk for reference. http://www.tldp.org

You shouldn't have any problems running Linux on such a machine. Running X on it might be a little slow, you can try using a lighter desktop though, like XFce, Fluxbox, Blackbox and so on if you really need a GUI on it.

You might want to stick with a smaller lighter distro as well, like Slackware or one of its spinoff's. I've installed Slackware 9.0 on a Pentium 75mhz with only a 500meg hard drive before.. it wasn't superfast but with no GUI it did its purpose.
