I downloaded cds 1 - 4 of the mandriva 2006 powerpack and it took a few days through bittorrent.
I want to install it now, so I'd like to know.
Do I need to download cds 5 - 7, or are those just for some other commercial packages and some multilanguage stuff?
I went and installed it. There were a few packages in the last few cds but I'm not sure which ones they were.
Anyway, everything was detected, all going smoothly, very impressed .
CDs 5-7 probably have some closed-source packages (eg. Nvidia drivers) and the rest of the main repository. Head over to http://easyurpmi.zarb.org and setup all the repos, you'll then have more software than is on the CDs anyway (except for the closed-source packages).
