DNS Lookup do not work for Firefox

Hi. I have just finished to update my system to 10.2. I've always used Mozilla.

Some friends suggested me to install FireFox and remove Mozilla, since I use Mozilla only for browsing. So I downloaded the latest "mozilla-firefox" packages (1.0.2) for mandriva with the mandrake control center, installed them, and run firefox as a user. He started importing alla datas (bookmarks and so) from mozilla and did it very nicely. :D :D

All my bookmarks are there, all the settings (including the proxies) are the same as in mozilla. The two programs really look very much the same. But mozilla works, firefox do not, since it looks unable to perform a DNS lookup.

If I write an address by numbers it works, otherwise... he asks me to check the name www.google.com

I really cannot imagine where is the problem, does anyone have an idea?

Hope you have linux dns client configured ... if not see linux dns client config http://www.cyberciti.biz/nixcraft/vi...ns-client.html for your ISP NS1 and NS2

I did. And in fact, mozilla works nicely and I'm answering this e-mail with it. It is just a problem of FireFox
